2023-05-04

An audiovisual performance by Dan Gorelick @dqgorelick (cello), Ruby Blume @rubyblume.music (singing) and Zinnia Nomura (dance), with sound-reactive visual by Kazik Pogoda @xemantic.berlin.

Dan Gorelick is an artist who uses classical instruments and computation to create sonic experiences that connect people to themselves, each other, and the natural world. His work explores how music, as a time-based medium, serves as a vehicle to appreciate timescales —human, biological, geological— and to promote awareness of our relationship with nature and climate. His practice draws inspiration from deep listening approaches, exploring the meditative, healing, and connective nature of sound.

Ruby Blume is a composer, producer, performer and vocalist based in Melbourne. Her unique style of outer-worldly pop is inspired by nature, feeling, and all the colour and artistic beauty that life has to offer. Currently studying Music Production at Collarts, she has been performing live around Melbourne for 2-3 years.

Zinnia Nomura is a circus artist and former ballet dancer who has been performing professionally since 2014. She decided to run away to the circus and trained at the Carampa School in Madrid and in independent courses at Stockholm University/SKH, as well as continuously educating herself through coaching and workshops. She loves to share her art at theatre and circus festivals, events, kids' shows, cabarets and dinner shows. In her time on stages around Germany and Europe, she has played a dancing sausage, an aerial sloth, a showgirl, a video-game avatar and a glowing caterpillar. Besides performing, she also teaches and produces events.

Kazik Pogoda, creative technologist based in Berlin, producing interactive media art installations, generative design and robots.
